Went on a JB cafe-hopping trip sometime back in February. Vsited a few cafes and this was one of them. Have been wanting to check out this cafe for sometimes already. The cafe is garden themed with lots of greenery around with some industrial vibes.
First up, we ordered coffee with a cute piggie latte art. Pig year, why not? HAHA actually they can't do the art I requested so i got them to do something cute instead.
We ordered 2 mains and one of them was the Wild Mushroom Risotto with a medley of shiitake, enoki and oyster mushrooms! The risotto was so luxurious and creamy with savoury umami taste from all the mushrooms. I feel like the different mushrooms provided a different profiles to the dish. The enoki with its crunchy texture, the oyster mushrooms with its tender and soft texture and the shiitake with its smoky and full-bodied flavor. Break that yolk and mix it all around for that additional silky finish to the risotto. It's packed full of flavor and a great dish for friends and families to enjoy.
Last but not least, we have the Quesadilla Brekkie. Not something that i would order but was recommended, so why not? The crispy tortillas was stuffed with tom yum scrambled eggs, chicken ham, tomatoes, sriracha aioli, coriander and cheddar cheese. Parmesan cheese, pomegranate pearls and coriander leaves added for that pop or color. Squeeze that slice of lemon for the tangy punch. Spicy and sweet with that tinge of tart. Not the usual brunch dishes.
