8 decadent Mac & Cheese dishes In Singapore!

Another one of my favorite comfort foods is mac and cheese. I don't believe all restaurants or cafes use the same type of cheese in their mac and cheese, and different types of pasta are also used, which adds to the enjoyment of eating this comfort food classic.

The traditional mac and cheese consist of perfectly cooked macaroni noodles mixed in a bechamel sauce and topped with cheese before being baked until golden and crispy.

Here are 8 restaurants/cafes in Singapore where you can find and eat this indulgent yet indulgent mac & cheese.

1) Whisk & Paddle

Whisk & Paddle is a Riverside cafe by Punggol Waterway that serves all-day brunch, pastries, and dessert.

I only remember Whisk & Paddle because of their Mac & Cheese. I was finally there when I had to be at that area for an event. The macaroni was creamy and gooey thanks to the pink sauce and a substantial amount of mozzarella cheese, and it came with honey-baked ham. It had a lot of flavors, however, I thought it was a little milky?

2) The Providore

The Providore Café is a cafe, retail grocer, and bakery all rolled into one, with a large assortment of cheeses and gourmet foods.

Instead of macaroni, The Providore's Lobster Mac & Cheese feature Pastificio dei Campi pasta with enough poached lobster 🦞 tossed in a light cheese sauce that isn't too thick but still creamy enough. This isn't your typical mac and cheese. 😅

3) The Guild Singapore

The Guild is a restaurant and bar on Keong Saik Road that serves contemporary comfort food and a wide range of drinks. Their signatures are inspired by traditional local dishes with a new modern spin on them.

After seeing numerous foodies recommending these, I decided to give The Guild Singapore's Mac & Cheese a go. The macaroni is tossed with their cheddar sauce, which is already thick and excellent in one bite. This one was extra special since it included a house-cured egg yolk in the center, which added to the richness. Please include the Char Siu Bacon as well! It's so crunchy and tasty!

Opening Hours: Mon - Thurs 4pm - 10.30pm
Fri - Sun 3pm - 10.30pm

4) The Big Cheese

If you know me, I like customization! They allow that here at The Big Cheese.
I went with the Mac & Cheese regular version, which included Fusili Pasta, Cheddar and Mozarella cheese, chicken, ham, and shrimp, as well as Dorito crumbs for garnish. Not the most cheesy mac and cheese I've ever had, but it's a lot of fun to mix & match.

Opening Hours: 12 pm - 9pm
Closed on Sunday

5) Overeasy

OverEasy is Singapore's ultimate American diner, serving up a classic American diner experience right in the heart of the city.

I finally tried OverEasy's Lobster Mac & Cheese.
This platter of TRUFFLED LOBSTER Mac & Cheese was delicious, despite the fact that it costs $48. 🤭
As if the Half Maine lobster 🦞 wasn't already delectable, there's a coating of breadcrumbs on top for added crunch. This is likewise very cheesy but not overpowering, and the truffle is very fragrant.

6) Latteria Mozzarella Bar

Latteria Mozzarella Bar is a taste of Southern Italy located in the picturesque Duxton Hill neighborhood, right behind Singapore's bustling CBD.
Their restaurant serves fresh Mozzarella and Burrata cheeses prepared in a variety of ways, as well as a wide selection of traditional Italian dishes.

So here I am at Latteria Mozzarella Bar, to try their unique way of serving Mac & Cheese in a pumpkin. The cheesy Fusilli, which was mixed with a variety of cheeses, is covered in a layer of torched cheese. It's cheesy and gooey without being overpowering. Scrape up the pumpkin flesh and eat it together with the cheese!

6pm – 10:30pm

7) Five Oars Coffee Roasters

Five Oars Coffee Roasters delivers excellent coffee as well as a varied menu of all-day breakfast items and casual dinner meals.

The Mentaiko Mac & Cheese at Five Oars Coffee Roasters is buried in a blend of lightly charred cheddar cheese and mentaiko. Along with the macaroni are prawns and crab meat which caught me by surprise. Recommended to try this when you're there!!

8) Arteastiq

I went to the Arteastiq outlet at Jewel Changi. Their crafted menu focuses on reinterpreting continental cuisines while pairing unusual flavors and ingredients in a creative way.

The Macaroni Beef 🥩 Bolognese at Arteastiq is so good leh!
I am craving seconds of this delicious Macaroni Beef Bolognese! Braised minced beef with garlic, onions, basil, simmered in a tasty tomato sauce. This was topped with delicious melted cheesy goodness that consists of cheddar cheese and parmesan cheese!
