Gokoku Japanese Bakery, Which Sells Over 8,000 Buns a Day, Opens 4th Outlet at Tampines Mall

First 50 customers who spend a minimum of S$20 on a single receipt each day will get a free tote bag.

Easties, rejoice! Gokoku Japanese Bakery is set to open its fourth outlet in Singapore at Tampines Mall on 27 August 2021. Known for its array of pillowy-soft and healthy buns, Gokoku Japanese Bakery hails from Kobe and has been in existence since 1961. The concept is brought into Singapore by RE&S Enterprises. To celebrate the opening, the bakery will be holding a promotion from 27 August to 5 September 2021: the first 50 customers who spend a minimum of S$20 in a single receipt each day will get a free tote bag.

Gokoku’s new branch will carry all its signature offerings. Using traditional Japanese ingredients such as brown rice and sakadane — a traditional rice yeast specially flown in from Japan — Gokoku’s buns are baked from scratch every day following production methods and techniques that Japanese kitchens and bakeries use. Plus, with baking sessions spread throughout the day, bread lovers can look forward to fresh buns all day long.

Gokoku Shichifuku Pan

Malt Kurumi Pan

Red Bean Anpan

Made with brown rice flour, rye flour, sunflower seeds, malt, oatmeal, linseeds, and soybeans from Japan, the Gokoku Shichifuku Pan is a hearty bread rich in minerals and dietary fiber and loved by all for its soft and chewy texture. The Malt Kurumi Pan is a clover-shaped bun filled with walnuts, malt, oatmeal, and soybeans. Belying the simple presentation of Signature Red Bean Anpan is a rich flavor — cocooned within the bun is a luscious red bean paste specially imported from Hokkaido.

Mochi Mochi Cheese

Mochi Mochi Cranberry

Other delightful offerings from Gokoku’s bakery include the Mochi Mochi Cheese and Mochi Mochi Cranberry, an addictive masterpiece made with Gokoku’s signature Meiho dough that gives a chewy ‘mochi mochi’ texture with diced cheese or cranberry. The Meiho Toast — “Meiho” means “beautifully shaped mountain” in Japanese — is good on its own, or can be paired with your favorite jam, spread, or used to make sandwiches.

Gokoku Japanese Bakery’s newest outlet is located within Tampines Mall at 4 Tampines Central 5, #B1-K7, Singapore 529510.
