Former Lei Garden Hong Kong Chef Heads New Cha Chaan Teng Pi Food

Classic Cha Chaan Teng by day and modern Chinese bar by night, the space and extensive menu at Pi Food transports one to the bustling streets of Hong Kong with cafes by day and vibrant night markets as the sun sets right here in Singapore. The new Hong Kong-style eatery is located at UBS Business Hub (formerly Park Mall).

During the day, diners can savor an array of classic Hong Kong-style noodles, rice, congee, sandwiches, and roast meats, along with Canto-Western dishes. As night settles in, diners can also unwind with a wide range of small plates that are full of wok hei (breath of the wok) paired with a selection of alcohol.

The restaurant takes its name from the mathematical symbol π, which represents infinite extensibility, or loosely translated as the ability for the continuous and ongoing innovation at Pi Food even while staying true to its heritage. Helmed by Hong Kong Head Chef Tsang Tak Ching, who was a Sous Chef at Lei Garden (Hong Kong) for seven years before heading to Singapore, diners can expect the most authentic Hong Kong flavors and tastes. Only the finest ingredients and seasonings akin to those used in Hong Kong cha chaan tengs are showcased, together with Traditional Chinese cooking methods and techniques that keep the original flavors and textures of the dishes intact.
