So I was at Ginza on 2 occasion to try out Kagari Ramen. I have mentioned that if there's a long queue the food there should be super delicious. Look at the long queue!!!
Downside of this space is there's no shelter!! What if it rains? And also its summer when I went to japan so it is super hot with the sun shining down at max power. Nonetheless people still queued. There's a mix of locals and tourists in the queue too. The shop is located in an alleyway so don't miss it besides it will be recognizable when you see the queue!
Address: 4-4-1 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo
Opening Hours: Mon - Fri: 11:00-15:30, 17:00-22:30
Saturday and Holidays: 11:00-15:30, 17:00-21:00
Closed Sundays
Not sure how long i queued but i think it was more than 15 minutes. The space is quite small. I think not more than 10 people can sit inside.
Most ramen shops in Japan have an open concept Kitchen.
Uncle hard at work preparing my delicious ramen.
Menu! They will pass you this menu for you to see and will take your order while you're queuing so you wont have to wait too long when you're seated inside.
I ordered this on my first visit as i did not know what was the most famous dish there. This was good too! It comes with a bowl of Nimboshi Shoyu both. It is made with dried small sardines and soy sauce consomme. It also comes with A bowl of egg, roast pork, yam, corn and not sure whats that green thing and also the noodles topped with seaweed. The broth was rich and thick just the way i like it. Noodles was the thick hakata kind here and was al dente.
After reading up on their most famous dish and seeing people ordering this while i ordered the dipping soba, i came here for a second visit! >.>
I was served with this bowl of rich, thick and creamy chicken broth(Tori Paitan (鶏白湯))! This is the best chicken broth ramen i have ever tasted!! Seriously yummy!!!!! It comes with an egg, chicken meat, cherry tomato, corn and yam. Noodles was aldente as well. My experience here was nothing but the best. I normally don't go back to the same store for a second visit as i wanted to try out new food but i will consider coming back here. <3
