7 Phuket Thailand cafes you must visit!

REVIEW: Good Cafes in Singapore: La Ristrettos Coffee Roastery at Novena Medical Centre Singapore

La Ristrettos Coffee Roastery is tucked away on Level 8 of Novena Medical Centre. Honestly, you wouldn’t even know it existed unless you were researching cafés in Novena or visiting for a medical appointment. Am I right?

The indoor seating is limited, so I chose to sit outside. No worries though—outdoor seating is covered! But, you can still feel the heat.

Address: 10 Sinaran Drive #08-37 Novena Medical Centre Singapore 307506
Opening Hours: Mon - Fri 8am - 6pm
Sat 8am - 2pm
Closed on Sunday

I ordered the Truffle Ribeye Pasta, which features Australian ribeye chunks and pasta in a truffle cream sauce, finished with parmesan. I also got some tater tots and an iced matcha latte to complement the meal. I was pleasantly surprised by how tender the ribeye was—it’s more like beef strips than cubes. The truffle flavor was also strong, and the malfadine pasta, with its wavy edges, really held the creamy sauce well. Loved it!
The tater tots were perfectly crispy and golden, and the creamy mayo dip made them extra indulgent. The iced matcha latte was smooth, though a bit on the sweet side.

I ordered a café mocha, and it came with a beautiful art design on top! It was the perfect cup of strong coffee to enjoy on a lovely afternoon. The rich coffee flavor balanced perfectly with the chocolate.

I also ordered their carbonara, which came with capsicum, bacon, tomatoes, onions, and plenty of creamy sauce. However, I didn’t love it since I didn’t eat half of the extra ingredients in the dish.

I ordered a cup of coffee with heart-shaped latte art and the Spiced Apple Tart ($8.00). The tart had cinnamon apples and raisins tucked beneath a crispy pastry, topped with ice cream. The ice cream melted pretty quickly, making it a bit soggy, but it was still quite tasty!

I wanted to try something from their All Day Breakfast menu, so I went with the Grande. You can choose how your eggs are cooked—scrambled, poached, or sunny side up. I opted for scrambled. It also had sautéed mushrooms, bacon, spicy Italian sausage, salad, and sourdough. I paid $14, and while the portion was worth it, the taste wasn’t special. Nothing really stood out, to be honest.
