REVIEW: INDULGE.SG AT UPPER THOMSON ROAD

I have been exploring the cafes and hawker food at upper thomson road these past weeks and coincidentally my foodie friend esther invited me to this tasting for this western fusion stall at this coffee shop. Their offerings are unlike your normal western food stall but however comes with many innovative japanese and Asian influences.

Chicken cutlet bowl w runny poached egg drizzled with nacho cheese sauce over a bed of japanese short grain rice. Soba with poached egg and shiitake mushrooms. Soba with salmon teriyaki and poached egg. Everything is served with their cheese popcorn. Really loved the idea of adding popcorn inside our soba and rice bowls for that extra crunch. Btw, you can choose between rice or soba noodles for your bowls. very customizable. :)

We also had the chicken chop burger with soft charcoal buns and tender chicken chop and sunny side up in between. This was served with fries, lettuces and tomatoes.

Ordered the Hae Bee Hiam Pasta with Clams. The pasta gets its spiciness from the hae bee Hiam and the umami from the clams. The hbm also contributes a crunchy texture to the whole pasta dish. This is something I would order again and as a pasta lover this gets a thumbs up from me.

Aside from all these, they also serve takoyaki that is also drizzled with the same nacho cheese as sides. Really indulgent indeed. Their standard is comparable to cafes and is priced very affordably. You can check out their menu here.
