REVIEW: Good hawker food in Singapore: CLAYPOT MEE TAI MAK AND CURRY CHICKEN HOR FUN AT 136 HONG KONG STREET FISH HEAD STEAMBOAT

This shop used to be at Toa Payoh but they have moved to Potong Pasir.. and I have not been there ever since so here I am!! I used to eat this very often last time.

The bee tai mak was well-cooked in this thick umami gravy with raw egg, prawns, minced meat, and vegetables. It's just very palatable and not too salty. The clay pot bee tai mak was served hot complete with bubbling gravy. Nothing is more comforting than tucking into a whole clay pot of hot bee tai mak on a cold, rainy day. On days when you just don't feel like cooking but want a comforting meal, this is one of the food choices you can turn to.

They have the curry chicken horfun which was very unconventional. This orangey delicious curry chicken drenched the silky and smooth horfun. Rich, but not overly spicy. There were also a lot of odd chicken chunks in there. The horfun appears burnt, but the curry overpowers the wok hei, which works because it's supposed to be a curry horfun.
