You want your pasta to be hearty and not too gelat. I don't like to use heavy cream when I make carbonara. 1 beaten egg is enough for 1 person. Happened to have a lot of ham. Serve this one-dish pasta immediately for the best flavor. This is definitely easy enough for every day.
SPAGHETTI WITH HAM & MUSHROOMS
Ingredients

HAM

1 CLOVE
MINCED GARLIC

1 TABLESPOON
BUTTER

1 POUND
SPAGHETTI

1/2 CUP
GRATED PARMESAN

BEATEN EGG

ANY AMOUNT OF
MUSHROOMS
Cooking Directions

Melt butter in a large skillet and lightly saute the ham and garlic. Add mushroom after the ham is cooked and continue until mushroom is cooked.

Cook the Spaghetti in a pot for around 10 minutes to achieve al dente texture. Please read the instructions on the box/packaging of your pasta for specific timings.

Reduce heat to low, stir in cheese, half the eggs.

Remove from heat and toss with salt and pepper to taste.

Sprinkle with more cheese before serving.
