Yaki Udon | Stir-Fried Udon Noodles Recipe

Now that a lot of countries are in lock-down and people are being forced to stay at home or work from home due to Covid-19, and if you're craving for some Stir-Fried Udon, this is the perfect recipe for you that uses pantry staples! 
You can replace the vegetables or meat with the meat of choice such as beef, chicken, shrimp, pork, etc.



Ingredients
  • 200g (1 cake) udon noodles
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • chopped spring onions, for garnishing
  • 3 slices of ham
  • 5 Baby King Oyster Mushrooms
  • 3 Dumplings
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
Cooking Directions
  1. Cook the udon noodles in boiling water for about 5 minutes to achieve al-dente texture.
  2. Cut the ham into thin slices and chop the oyster mushrooms into halves. Set these aside.
  3. Heat a pan. Add in 1 tbsp oil. Sauté the ham and oyster mushroom until cooked. Add in the dumplings and cover for around 5 minutes. Switch to low heat.
  4. Add in the cooked noodles. Pour in the sauce mixture. Sauté for another 3-4 minutes until the noodles have absorbed the sauce. Turn off heat and then garnish with some spring onions, if desired.
