Suparakki Ramen: Authentic Hakata-style Ramen at Affordable Prices
The restaurant is the brainchild of Singaporean F&B entrepreneur Jackie Ong, a
self-professed ramen aficionado. So fervent is his passion for ramen that in
2018, he sought out and learned from a bona fide Japanese master how to cook
ramen. Armed with his newfound culinary knowledge, Jackie then set up Suparakki
Ramen, which doles out authentic Hakata-style ramen offerings that follow authentically
Japanese recipe.
Suparakki means super lucky in Japanese, and it is Jackie’s hope that each bowl of ramen will imbue his customers with good fortune. The ribbons of al dente noodles used in the dishes are created by the restaurant itself; they call for high-grade Japanese flour that is produced in the restaurant’s very own factory. All the ramen dishes are made only with all-natural ingredients; no MSG is added.

With
a bold flavor and a velvety consistency, the Original Tonkotsu Ramen is
sure to delight both adults and kids alike. The chashu is made with locally
sourced fresh pork belly, which is sous vide for 24 hours at 68 degrees Celsius,
then cooked in a special homemade sauce. To make the collagen-rich tonkotsu
broth, pork bones and trotters are cooked with an assortment of spices and
herbs for six hours. No milk is added to the broth.
