Dine, Shop and Takeaway at &JOY Dining Hall, an Exciting Enclave of Hidden Gems by RE&S Group

For an authentic Japanese F&B experience right here in Singapore, look no further than &JOY Dining Hall. This one-stop 154-seater food enclave at Great World — and Jurong Point — houses dine-in as well as shopping and takeaway concepts! At this venture by RE&S Group, you can savor fresh sashimi offerings that are directly air-flown from Osaka Central Wholesale Market to Singapore thrice a week. The prices of sashimi are at least 30 percent cheaper than what other restaurants usually offer. Choose seafood and fresh air-flown fish, and have them prepared charcoal-grilled or sashimi style. Behold a beautifully crafted Kodai (crimson sea bream) or isaki (Japanese grunt fish) at only $20 nett* with free sashimi slicing service. Other seasonal seafood selections are also available.
*Prices are approximate and differ according to the type and weight of each fish as well as market conditions.

Craving for some seasonal or special ingredient from Japan? Kuriya Japanese Market’s Japan Direct* concierge service allows you to pre-order the ingredient of your choice and have it delivered to Singapore in approximately 2 weeks. Enquire with our friendly staff at the Great World. Not only that, you can purchase an endless variety of restaurant-grade Japanese offerings here at Kuriya Japanese Market, which is the exclusive retailer for Gyomu Super, a popular supermarket chain with over 800 outlets in Japan. Gyomu Super purveys a wide range of dry items including curry paste, sesame dressing, soup stock, noodle tsuyu, wakame, and wasabi; frozen foods such as natto, edamame, takoyaki, and cod; and a variety of snacks. All the items go at wholesale prices.
*Japan Direct Service is only available at Kuriya Japanese Market at the Great World. The estimated delivery timeframe of 2 weeks is subject to weather and freight conditions.

&JOY Dining Hall is also home to two renowned brands from Osaka — RAMEN KIOU and ROMAN.TEI, which have chosen the enclave as the premise to launch their first-ever Singapore outlets. Its roots beginning in 1995, RAMEN KIOU is famed for its tasty, fragrant, and creamy tonkotsu ramen, complete with slices of tender melt-in-your-mouth pork belly braised in age-old tare (Japanese sauce). Don’t miss the recently launched Deluxe Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen (S$14.50).

ROMAN.TEI is a meat specialist. Served in exquisite jyu boxes, thick slices of juicy beef cuts are perched on fluffy rice, and drenched with a special homemade sauce whose flavor envelops the entire palate. All the offerings boast the golden proportion of meat, rice, and sauces, resulting in incredible mouthfeel. ROMAN.TEI’s showstopping dish, the Double Beef Zen (S$17.90) is a glorious medley of beefsteak and sliced beef. You can also make chazuke by pouring dashi with various toppings such as nori and sesame seeds, over the rice for a new way of enjoying the dish. The concept has recently introduced the award-winning champion beef A4 Miyazaki Wagyu (S$31.90 ala carte; S$34.90 rice box). With its beautiful marbling, the A4 Miyazaki Wagyu is best paired with meat specialist ROMAN.TEI’s secret-recipe steak sauce to tease out the natural rich flavors of this exquisite beef.
With a variety of concepts at &JOY Dining Hall, there is something for everyone. Pittarino is a fun and hip Japanese Italian concept that serves up Japanese-style pizzas and pasta. Freshly baked, the Teriyaki Chicken & Scallion Pizza (S$17.90) is a hand-stretched Neapolitan pizza using freshly kneaded dough. Its Carbonara Pasta ($13.90) is a unique rendition of the classic carbonara: the nama (fresh) noodles have a smooth and mochi-like texture. Topped with spring onion and nori, each ribbon of the Mentaiko Giapponese Spaghetti (S$17.50) is coated with pollack roe, and the flavor is enlivened by the cream sauce. These items are the top sellers of Pittarino.

Ichiban Express is a convenient food kiosk that offers quality takeaway donburi and udon at an incredible value. The udon is made inhouse by Ichiban Boshi’s chefs using their own recipe. There is also a favorite selection of tempura and fried dishes to complement your meals.

Gokoku Japanese Bakery, whose full name means five grains and seven fortunes in Japanese, is a bakery concept from Kobe that stays true to the belief of bringing customers happiness and hence fortune. Its buns are made with high-quality Japanese ingredients and hearty grains. Rich in fiber and minerals, the signature Gokoku Shichifuku Pan is made with brown rice flour, rye flour, malt, oatmeal, linseed, sunflower seeds, and soybeans. Its name is inspired by a beautifully shaped mountain, the Meiho Toast boasts the natural sweetness of wheat and has a delightful chewiness. Other customer favorites include the Meiho Toast, made with high-quality red bean paste from specially contracted farms in Tokachi, and the Mochi Mochi Cheese which celebrates the perfect match of chewy dough with the melty goodness of diced cheese.

&JOY Dining Hall also boasts a bar where merrymakers can drink to their hearts’ content with various alcohol choices. This replicates an izakaya experience where diners can tuck into an array of bites accompanied by draught beer, highballs, or sake! The bar now offers a special Jim Beam Highball promotion at just S$5 and 2-for-$20 Sapporo Premium Malts Draught Beer!
