Your favourites from Tsuta and Mrs Pho are now available in easy DIY kits so you can prepare them right at home

Neatly packed for your convenience and chilled for a longer shelf-life,  just cut open and cook for easy enjoyment

Real foodies know how takeaways just don’t taste the same as dining in, especially for hearty foods like a bowl of noodle soup that needs to be served to steaming hot.

Understanding this predicament, Tsuta and Mrs. Pho are proud to premiere a series of DIY kits that you can stock at home and prepare yourself when you feel like having piping hot ramen or beef stew like it just came out of the kitchen.

Neatly packed for your convenience and chilled for longer shelf life, all you need to do is to cut them open and cook them according to the instructions for easy and tasty enjoyment.

Tsuta Tonkotsu Soba and Gyoza

Tsuta has three versions of its famous tonkotsu ramen as well as a side of gyoza you can learn to prepare at home. Each comes with all the ingredients you need to make a complete meal along with simple instructions to prepare them to taste.

Its signature Tsuta Tonkotsu Soba ($9.80) comes with the house icon pork broth cooked to immense flavor with pork bone, pork trotter, pork fat, potato, cabbage, leeks, kelp, and shiitake mushroom; a serving of noodles; marinated black fungus; and pork shoulder char siu. For something with a little extra flavor, the Tsuta Kurobishio Tonkotsu Soba ($11.90) brings the signature soba up a notch with the addition of burnt garlic oil and black pepper minced meat. Lovers of spicy food will revel in the Tsuta Mala Tonkotsu Soba ($11.90) that veils the signature soba with mala oil and mala minced meat for a fiery kick.

Preparation for all three requires only five easy steps:
1. Heat the soup to boiling point
2. Cook the fresh noodles separately for 1 minute until al dente or to preferred softness
3. Pour the heated soup into a bowl and add Burnt Garlic Oil or Mala Oil accordingly
4. Drain the noodles
5. Add noodles to the soup and garnish with toppings

There is also a side of frozen Gyoza ($11.90) available in packs of 12 pieces. Just fry them up in a shallow pan or boil them, and eat with your favorite Tsuta Tonkotsu Soba!

All tonkotsu soba are best consumed within 7 days from the date of production. Gyozas are best consumed within 14 days from the date of production.

Mrs Pho Vietnamese Braised Beef Stew (Bò Kho) and Meatballs (Nem Nướng)

Mrs. Pho brings the best of its beef stew to your home with the Mrs. Pho Vietnamese Braised Beef Stew ($9.90), made from generous beef shank and carrots, and flavored with lemongrass, shallot, ginger, tomatoes, garlic, fish sauce, cinnamon, peppercorn, star anise, and five-spice powder. Thai basil and saw leaf lend a fragrant herbaceous veil that will have you salivating at the mere whiff of the hearty stew.

To prepare, just follow these steps:
1. Defrost the frozen beef stew, then heat it up by microwaving for 2 minutes or simmering for 5 minutes in low heat
2. Prepare the rice/noodles/bread as necessary
3. Pour the heated stew into a bowl and garnish with dried herbs
4. Serve with rice/noodles/bread of choice

Perfect to go with the stew are also Mamma’s Lucky Meatballs ($9.90), made with minced pork, minced red onions, fish sauce, tapioca flour, honey, bean sauce, and black pepper. Available in frozen packs of 15 meatballs, simply defrost them before cooking, and grill on low heat or pan fry for 3-4 minutes. Alternatively, you may also air fry them at 170 degrees celsius for 4-5 minutes.

The stew and meatballs are best consumed within a month from the date of production.

While we look forward to dining out safely and enjoyably like old times again, bring an authentic taste of Tsuta or Mrs Pho home and have them fresh and hot as intended with these DIY kits.
