I was at Adam Road food center for dinner and wanted to try something new amidst all the halal stalls there. I saw this stall, Cheng Ji (成记), which had a variety of Chinese food such as fried kway teow, Hokkien mee, and fried ee mian. The nearest MRT station to Adam Road food center is the Botanical gardens.
The fried Hokkien mee caught my eye, but it was kind of dry when served and also I expect more ingredients for the $4 portion. There were a couple of prawns, fish cake and sotong in it. There was also no wok hei and pork lard which was essential for Hokkien mee.
Decided to try Cheng Ji (成记) Pig Trotter Bee Hoon which was essentially just canned pork trotters added to bee hoon. Nothing special but was good as comfort food. 😋 They use the Narcissus brand of a canned pig trotter.
