REVIEW: Good DTF style fried rice hawker stall in Singapore: Fire rice @ Yishun Ave 5

I secretly envy the folks of Yishun Ave 5 for having Fire Rice!! They serve excellent fried rice and are run by two ex-DTF chefs with a combined experience of over 30 years. Ding Tai Fung aficionados will love that they have a similar presentation to Din Tai Feng's style. They have 12 kinds of fried rice, 6 kinds of side dishes, and 5 toppings you can add to your fried rice.

Address: 732 Yishun Ave 5, Singapore 760732

Opening Hours: 11am - 8pm

The pepper pork chop fried rice, sambal shrimp fried rice, and har cheong gai were all delicious.

Both fried rice dishes were delicious and flavored with wok hei! Each grain was distinct, and the rice as a whole was light and fluffy, with a subtle wok hei aroma. The Taiwanese pearl rice was also not greasy! The restaurant-quality fried rice ranges from $4.50 to $7.50, making it quite affordable.

If you're searching for good pork chops, this was a thicker cut and it was still tender. Simply seasoned with pepper, although it might use more. The sambal fried rice was excellent and pleasantly spicy, with crisp and juicy prawns.

The har cheong gai was delicious!!!! They are fried fresh to order. The prawn paste was superb. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside.
