REVIEW: Good Japanese ramen hawker food in Singapore: Shinjitsu Ramen - Affordable ramen with whole drumstick only $6.50?!

I first saw Shinjitsu Ramen on Eatbook and they had a whole drumstick in their clear chicken broth ramen 🍜 which only cost $6.50!? It is seriously so affordable. I went during lunchtime and the coffee shop was pretty empty though. They are located 5 minutes away from Braddell MRT station or 9 minutes away from Toa Payoh MRT station.

Address: 125 Lor 1 Toa Payoh, Block 125, Singapore 310125

Opening Hours: 10am - 8.30pm

Their ramen noodles are springy and delicious when coupled with their flavorful but light soup. What a union! Actually, their soup is brownish and opaque rather than clear, as the name implies. The highlight of this recipe, the chicken drumstick, falls off the bone tender. Before serving, the drum stick was additionally seared using a blow torch. If you eat the skin with the meat, you may notice a subtle smokiness.

We also ordered the tonkotsu ramen, which comes with three pieces of char siew. The soup was rich and robust, with a delicious meaty taste.

I don't believe many Japanese hawker stalls produce authentic ramen; nonetheless, the ones at Shinjitsu Ramen dish up restaurant-quality ramen at an affordable price, which is a bargain.

I added the aijitama to both of the ramens. Look at how runny the center of the yolk is! πŸ™‹‍♂️

We also had the pork gyoza to share. The pork gyoza is made upon order. everything is handmade. Feels pretty standard and nothing special.
