REVIEW: Good Italian Restaurant in Singapore: Cacio e Pepe Italian Restaurant @ Hillview

Finally tried Cacio e Pepe Italian Restaurant! They are located at Chu Lin road which is around the Hillview Ave area. They are an Italian restaurant serving a variety of Italian dishes such as pasta, risotto, pizza, etc.

I ordered the Tagliatelle al Tartufo 🍝. Homemade egg pasta tossed with scallops and prawns served in Truffle paste sauce. My first impression was how the dish was so fragrant with truffle. Look at the little specks of truffle all over the sauce. The sauce was rich, and flavourful but borderline towards being overpowering. The seafood portion was also not v promising and was kind of small. 😅

Tomato 🍅 soup looks so pretty with the cream on the surface. Love tomato soup so this was right up my alley. tangy and rich. 🤭

Tortelli al Granchio

The stuffed pasta is loaded with crab meat, and lobster, and was tossed in a rich, tangy, and umami marinara sauce with prawns. The prawns were a little overcooked though.

Spaghetti alle Vongole

This dish boasts a flavourful and garlicky vongole pasta with fresh clams cooked in white wine sauce. They gave us so many clams in this. 

Soup of the Day:

Zuppa di Succa

Nothing can go wrong with their Pumpkin soup. Thick and rich with pumpkin flavors.

Zuppa di minestrone 

Minestrone soup is usually cooked with tomatoes but their rendition is a clear one, though most of the usual ingredients are in this.
