Introducing Singapore First’s Plant-based Mee Pok, a Collab Between Eat, Plant, Love and Bib Gourmand LiXin Teochew Fishball Noodles

The world of alternative meats is about to get even more exciting with the addition of Eat, Plant, Love (EPL)! While there are many plant-based options in the market, few offer Asian-style delights. All that is about to change with the entry of EPL!

A new plant-based brand by Ha Li Fa — manufacturer of Singapore’s beloved BoBo fish balls and seafood products — EPL’s products are halal-certified, free of cholesterol, trans-fat free, and are also an abundant source of dietary fibre

Believing in food for a healthy gut, EPL will offer a total of seven alternative seafood and meat products. To showcase the versatility and taste of its Asian-style products, EPL has collaborated with Bib Gourmand eatery LiXin Teochew Fishball Noodles to come up with Singapore’s first plant-based mee pok!

The taste of the plant-based mee pok will be indistinguishable from the real thing. Available in original and chili flavours, it will feature EPL’s upcoming plant-based fishcake, minced meat, vegetable rolls (ngoh hiang), and fried tau pok. The lard oil, a key ingredient in mee pok, is replaced with in-house-made fragrant shallot oil. All the ingredients are arrayed atop LiXin’s signature springy noodles.

Priced at S$6.90, the dish will be launched at LiXin Chinatown Point, B1-47 from 15th December 2022.
