Usher in the Huat with PizzaExpress’ limited-time-only exclusive Chinese New Year creations, the Yu Sheng Pizza ($38++ for a 14-inch) and Prosperity Dough Balls ($8++ for 8pcs).
At PizzaExpress, even yu sheng takes on a pizza twist. A thin and crispy pizza crust serves as a vessel for housemade passata and Spanish red onions alongside classic yu sheng staples of smoked salmon, julienned baby romaine, red radish, daikon, carrot, cucumber, red chili thread, candied winter melon, crispy golden pillow crackers, and a bold tangy calamansi plum sauce. All pulled together with stringy mozzarella cheese, every bite of the pizza promises big flavors with a touch of familiar comfort.
PizzaExpress’s iconic dough balls which are a hit amongst the young and old get a Chinese New Year update this January. Reminiscent of the traditional childhood muah chee snack, eight dough balls coated in peanut powder, sugar, and white and black sesame seeds are steeped into a lucky red condensed milk dip served on the side for a sweet uplift. The bite-sized treats are perfect as appetizers or desserts on the festive dining table.
