REVIEW: Good Seafood in Bangkok, Thailand: Nhong Rim Klong

Nhong Rim Klong was recommended by my friend. They are apparently Michelin bib gourmand recognized too! They are apparently well-known for their crab dishes. No need to queue like crazy at Jay Fai already... This is like your typical tze char stall but slap with a Michelin bib gourmand title. We came around mid-noon so there wasn't any queue and we were sitting on their second floor.

We ordered some of their well-known dishes to try.

We tried their Thai crab omelet, also known as "kai jeow pu" which is a popular street food dish in Thailand. It's made by mixing crab meat with eggs and seasonings, then frying it in a pan to create a fluffy omelet. The omelet is often served with a side of rice and a sweet chili sauce for dipping.

We felt that there were many chunks of fresh crab beaten into the egg. The egg was also light fluffy! We really enjoyed the sweet and succulent flavors in a unique and flavorful way.

Their thai fried rice with crab is also not to be missed. Thai fried rice with crab is a popular and delicious dish from Thailand. I feel like the fried rice here in Thailand is not our savory and salty kind but have a slightly sweet taste. Probably due to the addition of palm sugar. The tender and juicy crab meat provide a contrasting texture to the tender and fluffy jasmine rice, making the dish a satisfying and filling meal option.

Tom Yum soup is a popular Thai dish that is known for its delicious, spicy, and sour flavor. The dish is typically made with seafood, such as shrimp, squid, or clams, but in the case of Thai creamy sea bass tom yum soup, fresh sea bass is used. The sea bass here has a softer and more delicate texture, with the flesh remaining moist and tender. We didn't order rice so we ate this with fried rice!
