Owner and operator Darren Wee who is also a Radio DJ with power 98FM spent more than a year researching and learning about chai. He has read extensively about the chai-making process and had at least 150 cups of chai from different cafes in 5 countries to understand its complexity and variations. Eventually, he has settled on the current flavor profile that best represents what a good cup of chai should taste like - something that warms the soul and delivers immediate comfort upon the first sip.

Good chai people's version of the popular sticky chai latte pays homage to the drink's Indian heritage but leans more towards the Australian style of preparation. The spice mix includes star anise, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, and ginger, but intentionally excludes the peppercorn spice to make it more palatable for those having their first foray into chai. Oat milk and coconut sugar are used so as to be more inclusive, vegan-friendly, and more considerate towards customers who are lactose-tolerant.

They have a total of 11 kinds of chai lattes!

Salted Maple Chai $7+

This has a salty-sweet flavor that's totally addictive. It's like the perfect balance between savory and sweet. It's a cozy and comforting beverage that's perfect for sipping on a lazy Sunday morning or during a mid-afternoon slump.

Burnt Brussels Sprouts (VG) $16+

This has an amazing flavor combo of umami from the nori, citrus, and nuttiness from the yuzu sesame drizzle. It's like a party in your mouth, and you'll be going back for seconds (and maybe even thirds) before you know it.

Mommy's Spinach (V) $12+

This is like a fancy version of creamed spinach, but with a little extra oomph from the Gruyere cheese and bechamel sauce. And the fried eggs? Well, let's just say they take this dish from good to great.

Shrimp & Smashed Avo $17+

The Shrimp & Smashed Avo sandwich is a flavor explosion in your mouth. The juicy shrimp are coated in zesty lime mayo, paired with creamy guacamole, tangy pickled onions, a hard-boiled egg, and herb salad on top of a crispy toasted brioche. It's a gourmet sandwich with bright and bold flavors that work together in perfect harmony.

Steak & Eggs $24+

The Steak & Eggs dish features juicy medium rare Angus striploin cooked to perfection, a fried egg with a runny yolk, crispy roasted potatoes, savory bacon, sweet caramelized onions, and confit garlic. It's a classic breakfast combo taken to the next level with rich, velvety flavors.

French Toast Lovin' (V) $20+

French Toast Lovin' is a decadent breakfast dish with fluffy brioche French toast, tangy whipped cream cheese, sweet homemade berries compote, and a warm maple thyme drizzle. It's like dessert for breakfast, and the flavors complement each other perfectly.
