REVIEW: Good Cheese Wheel Pasta in Singapore: Saporita at Makansutra Glutton Bay, Esplanade

Recently, I had the pleasure of trying the Halal Truffle Cheese Wheel Pasta at Saporita, located at Makansutra Glutton Bay. I highly recommend this dish as it is a must-try for pasta lovers, priced at $14. The dish features tagliatelle cooked with white and brown button mushrooms in a rich and creamy bechamel sauce, combined with Grana Padano cheese wheel, and topped off with a drizzle of truffle oil. To enhance the dish's flavors, shaved Grana Padano cheese and black truffle pate are added, which take the taste to another level! Additionally, I opted to add beef meatballs to my pasta, which made the dish even more delightful.

Address: Makansutra Glutton Bay, 8 Raffles Ave., #01-15L, 039802

Opening Hours: Tues - Thurs, Sunday 4pm - 10pm

Although the pasta could have been firmer, the overall experience was delightful, and the cheesiness was not too overpowering. The combination of the creaminess from the bechamel sauce, the umami from the mushrooms, and the earthiness from the truffle oil was a delight to the senses. I'm looking forward to trying more of Saporita's offerings soon.

If you're a fan of pasta and are in the area, I highly recommend giving this dish a try. With its rich and flavorful ingredients, it is sure to satisfy your taste buds and leave you wanting more. Overall, my experience at Saporita was fantastic, and I look forward to trying more dishes from their menu.
