SUN with MOON, the popular Japanese dining concept, is proud to announce the launch of its Early Summer Menu. Beat the heat with an array of delectable dishes from satisfying savories to sweet tooth-curing treats that celebrate the flavors of the season.

Dive into the best of Japanese cuisine this summer with SUN with MOON’s Early Summer Menu from 17 May to end-July 2023.

APPETIZERS

Among the highlights of the Early Summer Menu is the SUN Style Goma Aji ($21.80), which features sliced seasonal horse mackerel sashimi served with soy sauce, soft-boiled egg, and grated ginger. Mix the egg with the accompanying condiments to create a silky, savory dip that tantalizes the taste buds.

Another must-try appetizer on the menu is the refreshing Natsu Yasai Harusame Salad ($12.80), SUN's summer-style salad that combines sliced pork char siew, mini tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, and vermicelli noodles in homemade sesame dressing. This toothsome dish is the perfect blend of sweet and savory flavors, complemented by the nuttiness of the sesame dressing.

SEAFOOD & MEAT CUISINE

Savor the taste of the ocean and the bounty of the land with a sumptuous selection of seafood and meat dishes. Delight in the Renkon Iri Bell Piman Nikuzume Teriyaki Sauce ($22.80), a divine combination of small green bell peppers stuffed with minced beef, pork, and lotus roots, glazed with teriyaki sauce.

Another noteworthy dish is the Aji Fry with Tartar Sauce ($14.80), where breaded horse mackerel fish is deep-fried to a delectable golden hue and served with crunchy sliced cabbage and a piquant house-made egg tartar sauce. An exquisite seasonal delicacy not to be missed, indulge in the Awabi Nigiri ($22.80), where the mildly sweet abalone is steamed to perfection, sliced, and served on sushi rice.

While the traditional hotpot is a winter staple, summer has its own comforting version. The Hamo Nabe Wafu Soup ($26.80) features sliced pike conger fish harvested during the summer months, alongside a medley of fresh vegetables, mushrooms, and tofu in a light Japanese dashi broth. Served with a side of chilled somen.

RICE & NOODLES

A popular summer dish in Japan, indulge in the Hiyashi Sudachi Onioroshi Niku Soba ($19.80). The cold sliced beef soba noodles and tangy, vinegary soup make it a refreshing and light option for the hot and humid summer days. The addition of sliced sudachi lime and grated radish also adds a citrusy and spicy kick that complements the flavors of the dish and helps to cool down the body.

Alternatively, opt for a heartier option with the Hamo Tempura Chazuke ($20.80). This dish features seasonal sliced pike conger fish tempura served on top of Japanese rice with teteapotashi soup. The crispy and savoury tempura contrasts beautifully with the delicate flavors of the dashi soup and rice, making for a satisfying and tasty meal.

DESSERT

For a sweet conclusion to the meal, enjoy SUN with MOON's Early Summer Dessert Plate ($13.80), which showcases a delightful trio of seasonal chilled Japanese red bean jelly (Mizu Youkan), invigorating lemon sherbet, and soft and chewy warabi mochi topped with soybean powder. Alternatively, the desserts can be ordered separately, with the lemon sherbet priced at $6.80 and the Mizu Youkan at $8.80.
