Weng Kiang Kee Porridge's star attraction is their classic plain white porridge, a simple yet comforting dish that takes center stage on their menu. What sets this humble porridge apart is the thoughtful combination of delightful toppings that accompany it. From the freshness of spring onions to the enticing crunch of fried shallots and fried fritters, every element is carefully chosen to elevate the taste to perfection. And to top it all off, the tantalizing addition of pork lard adds a rich, savory dimension to the porridge, making each spoonful a truly delectable experience.

What truly impressed me about Weng Kiang Kee Porridge was the craftsmanship demonstrated by the skilled cooks manning the stoves. Each bowl of fresh porridge is prepared individually.

As I eagerly dug into my bowl of porridge, I was pleasantly surprised by the treasures hidden beneath the surface. A rich assortment of ingredients awaited discovery - succulent pork slices, flavorful minced pork balls, tender liver, savory intestine, delightful fish, tender cuttlefish, and the classic century egg.

Despite the abundance of ingredients, the porridge retained a subtle, natural sweetness from the rice itself. This made the overall dining experience not only indulgent but also refreshing - a rare feat for such a hearty dish.
