88 Congee 88粥品 is located at Toa Payoh West food centre and market and is one of the popular stalls there. They sell Cantonese porridge 🍲. The consistency is so thick and creamy!! so good!!! Comes with youtiao. Also requested an egg too.

2) Li Fang Congee 丽芳粥品


Li fang Congee is a stall in Albert Hawker centre specialised in selling 17 types of congee with 4 outlets in Singapore. I was at Kinex and ordered the sliced fish with egg. Spring onions, pepper, and fried shallots are served on top. The congee was tasty and satisfying. The seafood was tender and fresh.

The Seafood Abalone Congee, featuring fish slices, abalone, prawns, and fish maw, is a thick and creamy porridge similar to Cantonese porridge. The Triple Sauce Rice Noodle Roll is made with smooth, silky cheong fun and drenched in peanut, sweet, and light soy sauce. It's important to note that plain chee cheong fun is not available.

Soon Lee Porridge, a Hainanese porridge restaurant, offers three options on its menu. The dish is prepared separately, with plain porridge scooped into a small pot, followed by a secret sauce and any desired additions. The Pork Porridge, with spring onions and shallots, was a favorite, with pig slices, pork balls, and livers. Although the porridge was light for my taste, it was hearty and satisfying.

To elevate the porridge experience, we added an egg and thoroughly mixed it in, resulting in pure indulgence. The stall prides itself on its simplicity of seasoning, allowing the natural flavors of the ingredients to shine through. The lightly seasoned porridge carried a subtle tinge of sweetness, making each bite incredibly satisfying. This comfort food is like a warm hug on a rainy day.

Hong Kee Porridge 鸿记粥, located in the Commonwealth Crescent Market and Food Centre, has been serving heartwarming porridge for over 50 years. The Pork Porridge, seasoned with pork, liver, and minced meatballs, had a watery texture, but with the first spoonful, it dispelled any concerns. The texture was smooth, enveloping the palate in a delightful savory-sweet combination. The Century Egg Porridge, filled with century eggs, was also a standout dish, with its distinctive flavor and contrasting textures creating an exciting interplay. Both dishes were satisfying and satisfying, making Hong Kee Porridge a must-try for any food lover.

Ah Chiang's Porridge, located in Toa Payoh, offers a silky, smooth, and warm porridge with a congee texture. While not outstanding, it's above average. Their main outlet is at Tiong Bahru, but it's unclear if it's better than the TPY outlet. If you're near Toa Payoh central, check out this food stall.

13) Choon Seng Teochew Porridge 春成潮州糜         

Choon Seng Teochew Porridge stands out as a well-liked Teochew porridge eatery situated near Farrer Park on Cambridge Road. Among their standout dishes, their fresh fish is a definite highlight. Instead of opting for the steamed variety, we chose the fried fish coated in a rich braised dark sauce. The fish was both exceptionally fresh and bursting with a delightful, savory taste.

14) Ye Shang Hai Teochew porridge

Ye Shang Hai Teochew porridge might be a bit remote in Bukit Merah, but that didn't deter me from giving it a shot with enthusiasm! 😂 We decided on 2 servings of the Chilled Teochew Mullet, which turned out to be both fresh and carried a tangy hint due to the pickled vegetables. The combination was rather enjoyable!

15) Joo Seng Teochew Porridge & Rice

On a rainy day, we sought solace in the warmth of Joo Seng Teochew Porridge & Rice, indulging in comforting cuisine. Our order was a diverse array of dishes to accompany the porridge: braised duck, clams, fishcake, shark meat, otah, vegetables, and minced meat. While their standout offering is the braised duck, it, unfortunately, turned out somewhat dry during our visit. Nonetheless, the shark meat and otah managed to capture our taste buds quite well!

16) Soon Soon Teochew Porridge

In addition to its role as a go-to option for convalescence or comfort, porridge can be relished whenever your heart desires. We visited Soon Soon Teochew Porridge in Kovan for dinner, opting to explore an assortment of side dishes for communal enjoyment. Our selections included an omelet, long beans, fish, minced pork, and clams. It's worth noting that they are available on both @deliveroo_sg and @grabfoodsg platforms. Alternatively, you have the option to dial 69544151 and arrange for a self-collection of your order at a later time!

Heng Long Teochew Porridge, renowned for its heartening fare, offers a selection of comforting dishes. Among their extensive array of side options, I opted for steamed egg accompanied by century egg and salted egg, fish, radish soup, and minced pork to complement the Teochew porridge.

18) Ah Seah Teochew Porridge

Ah Seah Teochew Porridge stands as another enduring establishment for Teochew porridge enthusiasts 🍲. The menu boasted an extensive range of accompaniments, and our selection comprised radishes, clams, eggs, luncheon meat, and fish. The fish featured a delightful crunch on the outside and was rather satisfying! Personally, whenever I indulge in Teochew porridge, fish is a definite must-order.
