REVIEW: Good Chicken rice stall in Singapore: Rong Ji Traditional Hainanese Chicken Rice 荣记传统海南鸡饭 at Redhill Food Centre Singapore

There's nothing quite like exploring the nooks and crannies of local food havens. Recently, I visited Rong Ji Traditional Hainanese Chicken Rice 荣记传统海南鸡饭, a hidden gem nestled within the vibrant Redhill Food Centre. They are a short 4-minute walk away from the Red Hill MRT Station.

Address: Redhill Food Centre, 85 Redhill Ln, #01-42, Singapore 150085

Opening Hours: Tues - Fri 10 am - 8 pm

Sat - Sun 9 am - 8 pm

Closed on Monday

When I arrived, I couldn't help but observe the long queue of customers, a testament to the restaurant's popularity. They say that good things come to those who wait, and there was a small line when I entered the bustling hawker centre.

The roasted chicken set sounded like a great way to try the essence of Rong Ji's food. Not only did the set include the show's star, roasted chicken, but also oyster veggies and a bowl of soup. I made an individual request for a chicken drumstick and decided to pamper myself even more by adding a cooked egg to the mix.

The tender chicken meat seemed to be infused with the fragrant symphony of sesame oil and soy sauce. But that's not all - the rice was fragrant and slightly oily, and every grain stood distinct, bearing testament to the meticulous cooking process.
