REVIEW: Good Cafes in Singapore: Hey Slow Joe, Ralph’s Coffee Marina Bay Sands, Now After Cafe in Singapore

1. Hey Slow Joe

Recently, during my time off, I visited @heyslowjoe situated in Farrer Park. They specialize in serving a variety of beverages including coffee, non-caffeinated options, and a selection of pastries. One of their signature drinks, the Magic Joe, caught my eye. It features a refreshing yuzu-based concoction with a hint of blue pea flower, making it both visually appealing and rejuvenating.

In addition to the drink, I decided to try their Eggless Lemon Blueberry crumble cake. The absence of eggs in the cake layer resulted in a soft, moist, and tender texture, while the crumbly topping provided a pleasing contrast. The fusion of flavors between the blueberries and lemon was well-balanced, with neither overpowering the other. Overall, I found the cake to be quite enjoyable, offering a harmonious blend of textures

2. Ralph’s Coffee Marina Bay Sands

I'm sporting my @ralphlauren barista print polo at @ralphscoffee! This branch located in Marina Bay Sands marked the debut of Ralph's coffee cafe in Singapore. The iconic bear symbol has become the mascot, charmingly positioned at the entrance between the cafe and the retail store. I ordered a Sea Salt Caramel Latte ($8) and Ralph's chocolate cake ($14).

3. Now After Cafe

@nowaftercafe showcases a Korean-inspired ambiance, featuring a decor scheme that harmonizes monochromatic elements such as black and white tables, stools, a sleek grey bar top and accentuated with gleaming metal touches. During my visit, I indulged in the Charkey bun, which, in my opinion, resembled a blossoming flower, generously filled at its center with a delightful blend of mozzarella, garlic herb butter, and truffle sour cream. The warmth, softness, and aromatic essence of the bread were particularly appealing. The dominant flavor of the garlic herb butter was incredibly pleasing. I loved it! Additionally, I opted for the iced black sesame einspanner. While the prominence of the black sesame fell short of my expectations, I found this beverage to be enjoyable overall.
