When it comes to comfort food, few dishes rival the warmth and satisfaction of a hearty bowl of soup. And when that soup boasts the added benefits of collagen-rich broth, it becomes not just a meal but a nourishing experience for both body and soul. Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting Fish Joy, nestled at 168 Lorong 1 Toa Payoh.
Address: 168 Lor 1 Toa Payoh, Singapore 310168
Opening Hours: 10.30am - 8.30pm
The broth itself was a symphony of flavors, a result of the lengthy simmering of fish bones and pork. Every spoonful offered a burst of savory goodness, leaving me craving for more with each bite. The freshness of the mackerel fish slices was evident, complementing the rich broth perfectly.
Accompanying the broth were an array of delights – assorted vegetables adding a vibrant crunch, delicate cubes of silken tofu offering a textural contrast, and a generous sprinkling of fried egg floss adding a delightful depth of flavor.
