Opting for two servings of steamed white rice, we eagerly anticipated the feast ahead. Our spread included the signature chicken rendang, fried fish, sambal egg, and sayur lodeh, offering a tantalizing array of flavors synonymous with Nasi Padang.

The chicken rendang stole the show with its exceptional tenderness and explosive burst of flavor. Each bite was a symphony of spices, with the bold and aromatic rendang sauce leaving an indelible impression. It's no wonder why Che' Rose proudly claims to serve the best rendang in Singapore – this dish truly lives up to the hype.

Next up was the fried fish, boasting a crispy exterior that gave way to tender, succulent flesh. Enhanced by the spicy chili sauce drizzled atop, it offered a delightful contrast of textures and flavors that left our taste buds tingling.

Adding a fiery kick to our meal was the sambal egg, though it lacked the runny center we expected. Nevertheless, its intense heat provided a unique twist to the dining experience, further enhancing the overall flavor profile.

To round off our feast, we savored the creamy and mildly sweet flavors of the sayur lodeh. This vegetable curry simmered to perfection in coconut milk, proved to be the perfect accompaniment to the rice, offering a harmonious blend of textures and tastes.
