REVIEW: Good Asian-Fusion cafe in Penang, Malaysia: Picco Polo Cafe

During a leisurely stroll, we chanced upon Picco Polo Cafe, a gem that blends Asian and Western fusion cuisine. The cafe's stylish and contemporary interior immediately caught our attention, making it an ideal spot for Instagram-worthy captures.

Address: 284, Lebuh Pantai, George Town, 10300 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia

Opening Hours: 8 am - 10 pm

The menu at Picco Polo Cafe was irresistible, especially the risottos and diverse food selections that beckoned us to dine in.

Prawn Bisque River Prawn Risotto: I chose this dish, which features a generously sized, halved river prawn. The succulent meat of the prawn paired perfectly with the arborio risotto, delivering a delightful burst of umami flavor that left me thoroughly satisfied.

Black Squid Risotto: This decadent dish boasts a creamy squid ink sauce that envelops the arborio risotto, creating a striking visual contrast. Garnished with grilled flower squid, finely chopped onion, and garlic, it offers a robust and aromatic flavor, making it a savory and indulgent choice.

Soft Shell Crab with Salted Egg Pasta: This flavorful dish features al dente pasta coated in a creamy salted egg sauce, giving it a unique and savory taste. The crispy soft-shell crab, combined with the heat of bird-eye chili, aromatic curry leaf, and the savory flavors of garlic and onion, enhances the dish further, making it a rich and satisfying option.

Picco Polo Cafe offers a memorable dining experience with its fusion cuisine and visually appealing dishes. Whether you're looking for a place to enjoy a hearty meal or capture some Instagram-worthy moments, this cafe is a must-visit.
