REVIEW: Good Seafood Soup in Singapore: Sin Kee Seafood Soup 鲜记海鲜汤 at Marsiling Singapore

Yesterday, I enjoyed a school holiday in celebration of Teacher's Day. For lunch, I decided to dine at Sin Kee Seafood Soup (鲜记海鲜汤). Despite the scorching weather, I walked to the Woodlands temporary interchange to catch a bus to this eatery, which was quite a trek from my workplace.

Address: 19 Marsiling Lane
#01-329 Teo Chap Bee Eating House
Singapore 730019
Opening Hours: Tues - Sun 10.30am - 8.30pm
Closed on Monday

Opting for the set meal featuring crayfish and dory fish, priced at $10.50, I found it to offer more value compared to the Khatib counterpart, with an additional half of crayfish and extra dory fish. However, the soup lacked the rich, red hue I'm accustomed to, resulting in a somewhat disappointing taste. Nevertheless, the freshness of the crayfish and dory fish redeemed the meal. Despite mixed reviews on platforms like Burpple, I believe Shun Feng Crayfish Delight offers a superior dining experience, despite having fewer crayfish.

For those interested in trying Sin Kee Seafood Soup, it's worth a shot, but personally, I'll be opting for Hong Ji Claypot Bak Kut Teh (宏记砂锅肉骨茶) during my next visit, conveniently located in the same coffee shop.
