REVIEW: Good Hawker food in Singapore: HE JIA HUAN BAN MIAN AT TOA PAYOH - OPEN UNTIL 3AM FOR SUPPER

He Jia Huan Ban Mian is a local noodle chain with various outlets in Singapore. They're mainly selling ban mian, you mian, ee mian, and mee hoon kueh. They also have different soup bases like the regular one and tom yum. You can order yours with sliced clams or meatballs too.

He Jia Huan Ban Mian is usually where I would go when I'm craving some handmade #banmian.. they are open from 3pm - 3am.. so make this one of your supper spots :) Queues for their noodles can be quite long, especially during the wee hours of the night. If you looking for ban mian at toa Payoh, this is the place to go!

I'm a sucker for comfort food and noodles, so I really loved them. I generally get you mian, which are the thinner noodles. The noodles are nice and springy. The soup is not clear, and eggs have been tossed into it. Delicious, flavorful, and comforting! I generally get the meatballs since they are delicious and crunchy.

I have also tried the dry version with a dark sauce-based. You can see the dark sauce here as it's at the bottom of the bowl. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious this tasted after giving the noodles a nice toss. You might wish to add some chili for a fiery kick. I had a great time slurping this up. If you're feeling overwhelmed, they also provide a small bowl of soup to wash everything down.
