REVIEW: TONITO - FIRST ALL-LATIN AMERICAN RESTAURANT IN SINGAPORE

TONITO is the first all-Latin American restaurant in Singapore, serving up a slew of authentic cuisines from places like Mexico, Brazil, Cuba, Colombia and Argentina. Nestled at Level 2 of Jewel Changi Airport, Set in a relaxed and family-friendly environment, expect to be wowed by a wide selection of Mexican favourites like Tacos and Quesadillas, and Latin American sandwiches like Argentinian choripanes and Peruvian Pan con Chicharrones. An 80 seater restaurant with a view of the infamous rain vortex.

Tallarin Saltado which loosely translates to noodle stir fry. It is also the Peruvian chow mien.
Stir Fried Peruvian Pasta, onions, tomatoes, coriander, special soy sauce with chicken.
The tallarin saltado (stir-fried noodles) is a delicious dish of Peruvian cuisine. This delicious dish is a mixture of the Italian and Peruvian Food. I think the pasta can be replaced with noodles so there's some Chinese influence here as well. It was quite flavorful, not overly salty and due to the soy sauce,
definitely had a distinct Asian flavour to it.

Pork Taco
Crispy corn tortilla, charred onions, tomato salsa and crispy chorizo.
They are not traditional food in Peru, Mexico takes that honour but Tacos are becoming noticeable throughout the country. What's not to love about crispy tortilla and It's hard to beat the taste of juicy, tender pork.

Beef Quesadillas
Crispy flour tortillas with cheese, beef a la plancha, chimichurri, avocado, coriander mayo.
"A la Plancha" refers to the method of cooking steaks. Nothing to complain here about the tender beef steaks sandwiched between crispy tortillas with the addition of cheese, avocado and mayo that made it heavenly good.

Peruvian Pan Con Chicharron
Crispy pork belly, sweet potato crispy, red onion salsa, smoked chilli mayo.
In Peru, chicharrón refers to succulent pork, which is braised and then fried in its own fat. It forms the basis of this popular snack, with fried sweet potato and spicy onion salsa sandwiched between soft buns. The combination of sweet, salty, and tangy is quite traditional of Peruvian flavours.

Chicken Anticuchos
Marinated grilled chicken skewers, fried adobo sauce, red onion salsa.
These spicy Peruvian chicken kebabs (anticuchos) are an easy way to transform a simple, cheap cut of meat into something spectacular. Chunks of chicken, marinated in a hot and fruity yellow pepper sauce and quickly grilled on wooden skewers for an appetizer or quick, easy mid-week dinner entree.
