REVIEW: YUM CHA SINGAPORE 飲茶酒樓 - ICONIC DIMSUM PLACE IN SINGAPORE

I'm sure Yum Cha 飲茶酒樓 is already a well-known Dim Sum restaurant in Singapore. What do I think of when Dim Sum comes to my mind, I will always think of having a Breakfast Buffet with pushcarts and also high tea buffet. They are undoubtedly one of the best Dim Sum restaurants in Singapore.

Weekday High tea Dim Sum Buffet
$26.80 for adults
$16.80 for child

Here are some of the dishes I had when I dined at Yum Cha earlier in March for the International Guide Dogs Days collaboration.

Mini Abalone Siew Mai
Siew Mai, the Chinese steamed pork and shrimp dumplings, is one of the most popular items at dim sum restaurants. They are generous in the fillings as you can see that it's brimming outwards! Topped with a mini Abalone for that touch of prosperity and premium. This was only available in March.

Crispy Roasted Pork
The pork is tender and crunchy with delicious crispy and perfectly golden skin (crackling) with mustard sauce for you to dip in.

Crispy Youtiao Prawn Cheong fun
The traditional Chee Cheong Fun but with youtiao and prawns inside. The succulent prawn is wrapped with a layer of crispy you tiao before enclosed by a thin layer of rice noodle sheet. Not every Cheong fun has that crunch.

Fragrant Pork Slice with Crushed Garlic
Cucumber slice wrapped around by a piece of pork slice drizzled in a medley of crushed garlic and in-house special sauce.

Honey Roast Char Siew and Crispy Roasted Duck
How about some roasted meat?! The honey roasted char siew is marinated with honey for the sweet taste and luscious glistening caramelization, The roasted duck has this irresistibly crispy skin and tender duck meat.

Poached spinach with regular egg, century & Salted egg
A must-order dish whenever we dine out at tze char store. The century egg and salted egg added the umami to the flavourful broth with the regular egg adding that silkiness to thicken the broth and bind the whole dish together.
