Unagiya Ichinoji Launches Singapore’s First-ever Unagi Yusheng with Crispy Udon


Enjoy a Lunar New Year feast at a Japanese restaurant with a history that spans over 125 years





Usher in the Year of the Rat with Unagiya Ichinoji’s Chinese New Year offerings! At the restaurant, treat yourself and your family to a Japanese-style reunion dinner or Lunar New Year feast with the first-of-its-kind Unagi Yusheng with Crispy Udon as well as Ichinoji Seafood Treasure Pot with Ginseng Chicken. These two mainstays will be available from 18 January to 8 February 2020.

The Unagi Yusheng with Crispy Udon (S$88++) is a bountiful display of specially curated and premium Japanese ingredients. It features the restaurant’s signature grilled unagi, impeccably glazed with a special inhouse tare whose recipe has been passed down for generations. Smoky, sweet and savoury at once, the unagi has a crisp exterior and a tender inside. Top the yusheng with the crispy udon, which is made by udon specialist Udon Kamon. The yusheng also comes with takuan; shredded cucumber, carrot, radish as well as purple cabbages; beni shoga (pickles); chuka karrage; ikura; ebiko; yuzu peels; and pork floss. 

A a unique take on the traditional pencai, the Ichinoji Seafood Treasure Pot with Ginseng Chicken (S$108++) is just as delicious and indulgent. The broth, using pork and chicken bones, takes 6 hours to prepare. The nourishing ginseng chicken, on the other hand, requires 3 hours to cook, it is superbly succulent, its meat sliding off the bone easily. Living up to its reputation as a symbol of abundance, the pencai also includes grilled unagi, abalone, black tiger prawns, Japanese scallops, fish maw, fish roe fish cake, shiitake mushroom, enoki mushroom and Japanese cabbage. Each treasure pot comes with a bamboo bucket of your choice of Japanese Hokkaido white rice or 16 multi-grain rice.  

The festive dishes are exclusively available at the Suntec outlet only.
Pre-order and reservations start from 1 January 2020, take-away available as well.
All orders will need to be placed at least 4 days in advance.
