REVIEW: Good cafe food in Singapore: For Japanese Kakigori, Pancakes, and strawberry desserts - Fuwa Fuwa, GRAM pancakes, Pantler Singapore

Discovered this rare hidden gem called Fuwa Fuwa which sells selling Japanese 🍧 Kakigori. Not be confused with Fuwa Fuwa Japanese pancakes, this shop sells Japanese Kakigori. Kakigōri (かき氷) is a Japanese shaved ice dessert flavored with syrup and a sweetener, sometimes with condensed milk. I remember having Kakigori in Osaka and this somewhat reminds me of that. This shop uses the traditional way of making Kakigori which is to use a hand-cranked machine to spin a block of ice over a shaving blade. Kakigori has a much smoother fluffier ice consistency, much like freshly fallen snow, and a spoon is almost always used to eat it which is also why this shop is called Fuwa Fuwa. Fuwa Fuwa means light, airy, or fluffy.
We had their Kinako flavor which is a rotating flavor and devoured this nutty snowlike ⛄️ mound in no time. We witnessed how this was made and this was layered quite well with Azuki, Condensed milk, and Kuromitsu. Yummy 😋
They also have other flavors such as Matcha, Strawberries, and Mango.

Monday blues gone with the ☁️ clouds~ I had this in Japan before and the japan one was more fluffy than the SG one but still acceptable la. Still missing Japan a lot. I remember going to a lot of pancake cafes the last time I was in Tokyo. 🥺🥞 Their premium pancakes are made to order and are served with their special homemade whipped cream and their original butter. Like their Japanese outlets, it’s only limited to 3 times a day with 30 servings each time.

Pantler is a surprise find because LUNA was fully packed and I was looking for another dessert place. I'm so glad that I got to know about this cafe. Pantler means a servant or officer in charge of the bread and the pantry is a great family. The Pantlers from Pantler has experience from working in Grand Hyatt Tokyo and Joel Robuchon Singapore. Pantler has a wide variety of cakes, sandwiches, and pies made with carefully sourced ingredients from Japan and France.
The strawberries used here are Chitose strawberries.
Loving the strawberry 🍓 tart from Pantler. Didn’t expect these strawberries to be sweet and the pistachio cream to be so rich! So good 😊
I also ordered the Strawberry shortcake. The strawberries are rather sweet than sour. Look at the interlacing of layers of cream and fluffy sponge cake! the perfect ratio imo. yummy!
