Roji Monster Ice Cream Singapore 路地 氷の怪物
Finally tried the instagrammable shaved ice from Roji Monster Ice Cream Singapore 路地 氷の怪物! Those cute googly eyes 👀 staring back at me telling me to devour it. So perfect for Instagram!This is Roji's first outlet in Singapore with their main back in Taiwan and also outlets in Australia, China, Korea, the United States, Canada, and Malaysia.
TBH, despite the cuteness, the matcha was solid with bitter undertones and not too sweet. The matcha jelly was yuck though but the salted cherry jelly was surprisingly good if you love salty food like me. We came at around 9 pm and got in within half an hour of waiting.
Their ordering system is too cute.

Step 2: Pick 2 toppings and stamp.
Choose from 23 toppings.
Mine was matcha jelly and salted cherry jelly.
Step 3: Enjoy your monster ice cream!
Bring your complete card to the cashier to order and make payment.
Their order system is unlike any that I have seen before. It's not only interactive but fun too! I can imagine people who have problems choosing to ponder for v long, so check which one you want first to avoid making people wait.

Bacha Coffee
Bacha Coffee is a storey below TWG on Level 1 of ION Orchard. They are opposite Nespresso so you won't miss it! Bacha Coffee originated from Morocco and Singapore is their first international location. They have over 200 single origins, fine flavored, fine blended, and naturally C0₂ decaffeinated coffees from 30 producing countries. Not only is dining at Bacha Coffee nice and makes people feel like royalty with all the golden pots and the deco screams Moroccan palace vibes.

I chose the Black Panther with a light body and lingering and creamy aftertaste of ripe berries. My friend says the Vanilla Bean Chantilly Cream is a good pairing with the coffee and we ground more vanilla beans into the cream. Aside from coffee, they have pastries and cakes as well.
Zall Bookstore 卓爾書店
Zall Bookstore first opened its doors in Hubei, China, in 2013, and now has four locations. Due to pandemic constraints, the Singapore outlet, Zall's first overseas bookstore, will not be open 24 hours like its China stores. Zall Bookstore is situated at Wheelock place. I remember going to borders so often last time and even queued early for the launch of harry potter there. How nice that another bookstore opens at Wheelock place, albeit not at the same place. The ZALL Bookstore (shop space) includes a café, art gallery, event rooms, and a collection of over 30,000 books on Chinese literature, humanities, history, and philosophy.
I love visiting cafes that are located inside bookstalls. Very quiet and chill vibes here at the Zall Bookstore. They sell mainly Chinese books and they have some of my fav authors like 南派三叔 and recently addicted to 山河令 so Priest too.
haha Books aside, I ordered their matcha ice blended which was very nice. This is the sweet kind but the addition of ice kind of makes it not so sweet. The burnt cheesecake tastes normal only.. not molten as you can see. I would say come here for the ambiance. Oh yes, this place is also quite instagrammable.
