Tim Ho Wan Opens Its 11th Restaurant in Singapore at Tampines 1 with Branch-exclusive Dishes

One of the largest dim sum chains in the world, Tim Ho Wan is set to celebrate yet another milestone with the opening of its 11th restaurant in Singapore at Tampines 1. Tuck into five exclusive dinner dishes at the restaurant, which will be available daily from 5pm onwards. Tim Ho Wan Tampines 1 will officially open on 30 August 2021.

Greeting guests at the entrance is a beautiful mural art portraying Tim Ho Wan’s flagship Michelin-starred store in Hong Kong, Fuk Wing Street, Sham Shui Po. The mural art depicts Tim Ho Wan’s flagship store bustling with activities and with hungry gourmands from all over the world patiently waiting in line for the brand’s beloved offerings.

Exclusively launch at Tampines 1 is a new Dinner Specials collection of hearty dishes, available daily from 5pm onwards.

Savor a taste of nostalgia with the Pan-fried Minced Pork Patty with Salted Fish 咸鱼煎肉饼 (S$10.80). The patty is handmade, featuring a mix of minced pork, chopped shrimp, salted fish, and water chestnut. Pan-fried till golden-brown perfection, this appetizer makes a wonderful way to kickstart culinary enjoyment.

Next, relish the refreshing tanginess of the classic Sweet & Sour Fried Chicken 酸甜咕噜鸡 (S$11.80). Tender and juicy chicken chunks are coated with batter and deep-fried to a crispy exterior. Then, they are tossed with red and green capsicums, pineapples, and white onions along with the moreish sauce.

Another mouth-watering dish is the Hot & Spicy Sesame Steamed Chicken 麻香口水鸡 (S$11.80). The fresh chicken is first lightly poached. Then, it is drizzled with house-concocted chili oil, which is made with 10 different spices and ingredients. Fragrant sesame seeds are sprinkled atop for a nutty and aromatic finish.

For a carbo-load, go with the XO Sauce Luncheon Meat Fried Rice with Pork Chop XO酱餐肉猪扒炒饭 (S$12.80). Calling for premium baby silverfish and dried scallop, the XO sauce is blended in-house and lends an umami punch. The grains of egg-coated rice are fried over high heat for that wok-hei flavor. Huge chunks of luncheon meat also enliven the dish. As if that is not enough, the fried rice is paired with the all-time favorite deep-fried pork chop.

Temper the meat indulgence with the Poached Spinach with Prawn Balls in Oyster Sauce 蚝油虾丸菠菜 (S$11.80). The greens are sautéed with a high-quality oyster sauce. The handmade prawn balls come with carrot and celery bits, which provide a satisfying crunch amidst a bouncy bite.

The address for the new restaurant is 10 Tampines Central 1, #01-43/44, Tampines 1 Singapore 529536. Operating hours are from 11am to 9.30pm on weekdays and 10am to 10pm on Weekends and Public Holidays.
