White Restaurant Shows Support to Food Delivery Riders with Complimentary Bento Boxes

 These Bento Boxes will be available for pick-up on 10 and 11 August at all their 7 outlets islandwide.

To show their support for food delivery riders during this challenging period, White Restaurant is giving out complimentary Bento Boxes on 10 and 11 August at all its seven outlets islandwide.

On each day from 2pm, 700 bento boxes will be available for pick-up on a first-come-first-serve basis, while stocks last, at all White Restaurant outlets located at 22 Jalan Tampang, SunPlaza, Jewel Changi Airport, IMM, Suntec City, and Waterway Point; as well as the newly opened White Express at Tampines Mall. All food delivery riders can redeem one Bento Box a day by simply turning up in their respective uniforms, and they will get to choose between two types of Bento Boxes.

Featured in the Bento Boxes are new dishes Fresh Prawn in Chilli Crab Sauce and Deep Fried Mackerel with Turmeric, recently launched in celebration of National Day. Inspired by the diversity of his neighbors and friends at his own HDB home, founder Uncle Tay King Huak has inspired the team to create a series of new dishes based on their respective cultures’ signature recipes in celebration of the melting pot that is Singapore. 

Fresh Prawn in Chilli Crab Sauce

Deep-Fried Mackerel with Turmeric

The former features juicy prawns cooked in the quintessential chili crab sauce of chili, ginger, garlic, and a secret medley of other herbs and spices, before being sauteed to a wok-hei finish with chili sauce, tomato sauce, shrimp paste, and eggs for a dish that will have you wanting more through the meal; while the latter features mackerel that is first marinated with a paste of yellow ginger, southern ginger, and garlic for two hours before deep-fried till golden-brown for crispy bites that reward with juicy fish under the skin.

The National Day specials are available until 31 August 2021 ala carte or in sets for island-wide delivery via order.whiterestaurant.com.sg and major delivery platforms.
