REVIEW: Good hawker food in Singapore: Beef Hor fun and Beef Fried rice at Bee Kia Seafood Restaurant 美佳海鮮餐館

With all of the MRT line development going on, the region near Thomson Medical is significantly underestimated. I was looking for some locations to have Hor Fun when I stumbled upon this. Daniel food diary and Miss Tam Chiak wrote about them before so they must be good right! On a Saturday lunchtime, however, Bee Kia Seafood Restaurant 美佳海鮮餐館 is deserted. They don't have a menu either, but I already know what I'm going to order.

The Beef Hor fun ($8.00) here is smooth and is doused in black bean sauce with distinct wok hei. There are a lot of beef slices here and mostly are tender. There are a few pieces that are quite hard to chew.

Also recommended is the Beef Fried Rice ($5.00). It's greasy, but not soggy. The rice grains are likewise distinct and isolated from one another. Here you'll find beef, egg, and crunchy bean sprouts. The beef pieces are tender and cooked thoroughly.
