To thank Singaporeans for their unwavering support, Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks is set to bring back the Crispy Oyi-Shi Mushroom this National Day! This item was first introduced in March 2021 for a limited time and quickly became one of its best-sellers.
A portmanteau of "oyster" and "shiitake" mushrooms, the Crispy Oyi-Shi Mushroom features two types of premium mushrooms in one hearty golden crunch. The oyster and shiitake mushrooms are a rich source of protein, vitamins, minerals, fibre, and other antioxidants to protect body cells from damage and help strengthen the immune system. All nine essential amino acids are also present in both mushrooms. Very popular amongst Taiwanese, this highly addictive street snack is made with a delightful combination of fresh oysters and shiitake mushrooms coated in a light crunchy batter – it is crispy on the outside and irresistibly juicy and succulent on the inside.
The ingredients are then dusted with a generous dose of Shihlin's in-house blend of fragrant pow-der and fiery chili powder, complementing the earthy flavors of both mushrooms well. Boasting a superbly crunchy exterior and a delightful chewy inside, this product will be available at all Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks outlets and on delivery platforms (Deliveroo, foodpanda, and GrabFood) from 2 August to 30 September 2022.
The Crispy Oyi-Shi Mushroom is available at all outlets as an à la carte item at $5.50. Get the Crispy Oyi-Shi Mushroom Value Set at $12.80 (UP: $14.60), which includes Handmade Oyster Mee Sua and Freshmade Drink, for a satisfying meal.
