During my recent visit, I indulged in Lan Xiang's specialty—a bowl of Ban Mian brimming with enticing ingredients. Despite the quick queue forming, the anticipation only heightened my eagerness to savor their renowned dish.

At the core of Lan Xiang's Ban Mian lies a delightful fusion of simplicity and intricate flavors. The combination of pork slices, minced meat with vegetables, ikan bilis (anchovies), and crispy fried shallots adorned the steaming bowl of noodles, promising a flavorful delight.

An immediate impression was formed by the broth—a pivotal element in any noodle dish. Lan Xiang's broth showcased a commendable harmony of richness and subtle sweetness. While comforting, it lacked a groundbreaking taste. Though satisfactory, it fell slightly short of delivering the exceptional flavor one might anticipate.

Nevertheless, the handmade noodles, the highlight of the dish, didn't quite match the expectations set by the tantalizing mix of ingredients and flavorful broth. Despite their decent texture, the noodles lacked the velvety smoothness characteristic of outstanding handmade noodles. Their slight inconsistency detracted from the overall dining experience.
