Knead Kopi was born out of a passion for traditional coffeehouse culture and a desire to recreate the warmth of homemade breakfasts. The owners wanted to bring back the simple joys of old-school breakfasts, inspired by the flavors they grew up with. By transforming their home into a welcoming café, they have created a space where guests can slow down and savor comforting, nostalgic flavors.

Dining in someone’s home is a unique experience that brings an added warmth to the morning. As we arrived, the café was already abuzz with a steady flow of customers, a testament to its growing popularity. The rustic wooden furniture and simple setup exuded a sense of familiarity, making it the perfect spot for a leisurely breakfast.

We each opted for the signature Knead Kopi Set, a classic yet well-curated breakfast offering. The set includes three slices of crisp baguette generously slathered with homemade kaya, accompanied by two soft-boiled eggs and a choice of beverage. The kaya was fragrant and smooth, striking the right balance between sweetness and creaminess, while the eggs were perfectly runny—just the way they should be.

To satisfy our sweet tooth, we also shared a Mochi Brownie, which turned out to be a delightful surprise. The rich chocolatey base was decadently fudgy, and the chewy mochi layer added a textural contrast that kept each bite interesting. It was an indulgence that paired wonderfully with our coffee.
