REVIEW: OISHII CORNER - HALAL JAPANESE STALL AT TOA PAYOH

Oishii corner is an unassuming halal Japanese hawker stall at Toa Payoh Kim Keat Palm Food Centre. It is opened by a Malay couple with the husband doing most of the cooking.
They have a wide array of affordable Japanese food ranging from Japanese rice bowls, and udon to ramen. Don't go here expecting restaurant standards but the price point is quite worth it to me.

If you're near Toa Payoh, you can go check out this food stall.

I have tried the following dishes:
Chicken Curry Katsu Ramen ($5.00)
Inari Ramen ($5.00)
Oishii Beef Don ($5.50)
Salmon Teriyaki Don ($5.50)

The oishii beef don stood out with its cheap price point with a generous amount of beef. The beef is stir-fried with sambal chili and caramelized onion with cabbage and cucumber slices on top of short-grain rice. The beef is not tough at all and was tender. The spicy level was really manageable as well.

The chicken curry katsu ramen and inari ramen was okay as well with the ramen not being the soggy kind. Pretty well-cooked to me. The chicken katsu was huge as well and I always couldn't finish it.
