As one of the largest Dim Sum chain in the World, Tim Ho Wan introduces its collection of Chinese New Year Offerings in collaboration with its founding chef, Chef Mak Kwai Pui

An authentic taste of Hong Kong with 7 seasonal dishes this Chinese New Year

Missing Hong Kong this Chinese New Year? Fret not, soothe your wanderlust with an authentic taste of Hong Kong this Chinese New Year as one of the largest Dim Sum chains in the world, Tim Ho Wan has collaborated with its founding chef, Chef Mak Kwai Pui to launch its first-ever collection of 7 dim sum dishes for an abundant and memorable Chinese New Year feast that will delight your tastebuds. The dishes will be available from 22 January to 28 February 2021 at all Tim Ho Wan restaurants in Singapore.

New Chinese New Year dishes include the Crispy Prawn Paste Wings (4pcs) (S$6.50), which are juicy on the inside and perfectly crisp on the outside, an indulgence that never grows old. Marinated for an entire day with lemongrass and ginger powder, it is a mouth-watering recipe and a definite family favorite!

A popular dish enjoyed by many, the Steamed Yam Cake with Chinese Sausage (3pcs) (S6.50) topped with fried shallots, spring onions and dried prawns provides a delightful crunch in every bite and a deep satisfying savory taste that hits the spot!

The classic Pan Fried Water Chestnut Cake & Nian Gao (4pcs) (S$5.50) is a must-have item for a Chinese New Year feast. The glutinous rice cake, or nian gao, is a symbol of prosperity. Its soft and chewy texture, along with a smoky finish, makes it highly irresistible.  Enjoy crispy, crunchy bites of the shredded water chestnuts from the Pan Fried Water Chestnut Cake, an addictive dish!

New this year is also the luxury version of Tim Ho Wan’s well-loved signature shrimp dumplings, pamper yourself with the delicious Abalone Pork & Shrimp Dumplings (3pcs) (S$8.80) bursting with rich flavors and a springy bite. Definitely the next crowd favorite!

A returning favorite to this year’s line-up of Chinese New dishes include the Maine Lobster & Scallop Fried Radish Cake (S$14), unveiled recently in December which features the sweet and succulent Maine lobster paired with premium-grade scallops and chunks of fresh sweet radish along with a spicy kick enlivened with fiery wok hei. A perfect pairing packed with umami flavor!

Another returning favorite dish includes the Golden Custard Bun (3pcs) (Steamed /Fried) (S$5.50), introduced as part of Tim Ho Wan’s Chef Specials last September, a must order dim sum item and the perfect treat! Sink your teeth into these fragrant buns and enjoy the creamy, fragrant, and sweet flavors of egg yolk custard.
