Rice is delicious, but plain rice might become monotonous after a while. I changed it up with Pesto green rice which is flavored with Barilla's pesto Genovese and topped with assorted nuts. A tasty and easy side dish that can be made on the stovetop or in the rice cooker!
I have previously cooked with pesto.

Ingredients:
1 cup Japanese short-grain rice rinsed
3 tablespoon pesto sauce
1.5 cup stock (veggie or chicken)
Assorted nuts
Method:
1) Cook the rinsed rice with pesto sauce and stock in the rice cooker.
2) Stir in the assorted nuts when the rice is cooked.
