Found this while I was doing research for San Lou Horfun. They are located within walking distance from Star Vista and the nearest MRT station is Buona Vista.
Though Holland Village XO Fish Head Bee Hoon is most renowned for its XO Fish Head Bee Hoon, their San Lou Horfun is also excellent. My order was taken by an uncle who was pretty unpleasant. Despite the poor service, I was really pleased with my San Lou Horfun plate.
When this was served, the first thing I noticed was how fragrant the wok hei was! This dish has a light tint, as is typical of San Lou Horfun, but the silky horfun has been laced with wok hei. The crunch from a large number of bean sprouts is incredible! I appreciate how the head and tails have been removed, making it look neat and attractive. Fresh fish slices were also readily available.
There isn't much sauce because the broth was reduced from a rich fish soup, which gave the horfun such a wonderful flavor.
