Daizu Cafe is inspired by the Japanese word “daizu” (大豆), which means soybean — a subtle nod to health and wellness. True to its name, the café offers a menu that balances comfort food with clean, modern flavors. The space is designed with minimalist Japanese aesthetics — think whitewashed brick walls, wooden furnishings, natural light, and lots of neutral tones. It’s an Instagram-friendly spot, perfect for a relaxed brunch or coffee date.
The cafe is also pet-friendly at its outdoor seating area, which is a huge draw for dog owners living nearby.
Daizu Cafe first opened its doors along Rangoon Road in 2020, joining the ranks of popular Rangoon Road cafes like Brunches Cafe, Gather the Misfits Cafe, and Mosanco Enchanted Cafe. This minimalist café in Singapore features clean white brick walls paired with warm wooden furniture, creating a bright and calming space that attracts cafe hoppers and brunch lovers alike.
Specializing in Japanese-Western fusion cuisine, Daizu Cafe Singapore serves a range of creative dishes and modern brunch items. I previously tried their Tamago Ikura Sando but found it underwhelming – not something I’d return for.
Address: 129 Rangoon Rd, Singapore 218407
Opening Hours: Mon - Fri 10 am - 10 pm
Sat-Sun 8 am - 10 pm
We ordered the following:
🍝 Garlic Butter Sakura Ebi Pasta
This was easily the standout dish of our visit. Served in an Aglio Olio-style presentation, the Garlic Butter Sakura Ebi Spaghetti was rich in umami thanks to their house-made garlic butter sauce. It had the perfect amount of richness without being too heavy, coating the pasta beautifully. Generously topped with sakura ebi and four juicy prawns, this dish felt indulgent yet well-balanced. Surprisingly, despite the amount of seafood, it wasn’t overly salty.

🍚 Salmon Belly Ikura Don
A comforting Japanese rice bowl featuring flame-torched salmon belly, ikura, sushi rice, edamame, and soybeans. The salmon belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender with just the right touch of smokiness. While delicious, this salmon ikura don was relatively standard compared to the standout pasta.

🥧 Lime Meringue Tart
This dessert didn’t quite hit the mark for me — the citrus punch was too sour for my palate.
