REVIEW: Good Taiwanese food eatery in Singapore: 初早餐 True Breakfast @ Cuppage Plaza

This one was a surprise find when I had a staycation at Hotel Ji and was looking for where to have breakfast. 初早餐 True Breakfast came up in the search and is located inside Cuppage Plaza. I was there super early but they had a long queue before the shop opened! Luckily, I had time to spare.

Address: Cuppage Plaza, 5 Koek Rd, #B1-19/20, Singapore 228796
Opening Hours: 9am - 2pm
Closed on Tuesday

I ordered the Pan Fried Noodles with Black Pepper Sauce & Fried Egg ($4.80) and Ham & egg Taiwanese omelet ($5.30). TBH, the food here is really affordable with all items below $10!

The noodles are smothered in a fresh black pepper sauce! Because all I could taste was the peppery heat, the flavor was a little one-dimensional. I did, however, enjoy it. For pepper enthusiasts, the copious quantities of pepper will make it a genuinely gratifying meal. Plus points for the egg being runny!

Dan Bing literally translates as “egg” and “cake”. These traditional Taiwanese egg pancakes are the ULTIMATE street food breakfast. Love their rendition of dan bing! Soft and chewy inside but crispy outside. Kudos for these not being too thick too and fragrant! There was a thin layer of egg with ham. Simple, Savoury and so good!
