REVIEW: Good Chicken rice stall in Singapore: Sing Swee Kee - Traditional chicken rice balls in Toa Payoh

GOOD YEAR LOCAL HAINANESE CHICKEN RICE BALL used to be my go-to for chicken rice balls but they have closed. Sing Swee Kee 新瑞记 is conveniently located in Koufu at Toa Payoh HDB Hub, as I saw on someone's Instagram feed. They opened their first location on Seah Street and have since extended into the heartlands. Honestly, despite eating a lot of chicken rice, I had never heard of them. I did some research and discovered that they have been around for more than 20 years.

The Hainanese chicken rice balls are the best part! The rice's rich flavor is derived from the grains cooked in chicken broth.

Address: Toa Payoh HDB Hub Koufu, Blk 500 Lorong 6 Toa Payoh, Stall 6, #02-10, Singapore 310500

Opening Hours: 9 am - 9 pm

These are presently uncommon in chicken rice stalls. The roasted chicken drumstick set with braised egg and an additional $1 for a rice ball was what I ordered. Oyster sauce vegetables are also included with the set.

Each Traditional Chicken Rice Ball is roughly the size of a golf ball. The rice was fragrant and flavorful with a lot of chicken flavor and retained its shape well. really good!  I didn't order the deep-fried version. Their rice is fragrant and flavorful. IMO The chicken rice balls are more delicious.

The chicken is typically served with three sauces: chili, dark soy sauce, and ginger. You can pick between the poached or roasted chicken. The drumstick I got was tender as well and complemented the rice nicely.
